There have been a lot of popular streamers promoting gambling content through their live streams. On August 15, xQc joined the list. In his stream for the 15th, the latter ventured into his first-ever gambling stream that involved hitting some slots and games. Immediately after the glimpses of the stream were shared on social media, the latter was subjected to a massive backlash.
The streamer’s audience hasn’t been very happy with him for the past few days. This wave of hate is attributed to the latter’s recent confession of a relationship with Fran. However, the streamer stood up for himself this time. During his stream, he addressed the backlash and called out the people criticizing him.
“It was just really, not disheartening, disappointing. I’d say to see other people like waiting for me to be under fire again to pile on and get bonus points on their maps because they know I don’t have a good standing with the world right now, so they just want to pile on,” he said.

The streamer also accused them of being opportunistic.“It’s just weird to see people and their opportunism. It is what it is though. Like I’ve always said, you don’t need timing when you’re right, you just don’t. If you have something to say and have some criticism with somebody, it doesn’t matter when you say it, you can just f*cking say it. Chiming in is stupid,” he added.
Recently, Twitch announced a major change in policy related to the streaming of gambling. While Twitch received its share of community backlash in 2023, this decision was welcomed by a lot of users.
