It might be the end of probably the most beautiful story in the gaming fraternity. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is arguably the most influential title of all time. This game changed the whole scenario of the esports industry in the world. Esports was never considered a frontline sport until it was CS: GO, which made it into the same bracket. But now is the time when we have reached the horizon.
As indicated by Valve previously, with the release of Counter-Strike 2, Global Offensive servers will be shut down forever. A recent hint from the company has put a stamp on the release of the highly anticipated CS2. But it’s also time to bid adieu to our favorite, CS: GO.

The main account name of the official Twitter handle of Counter-Strike was already changed to CS2 from CS: GO. Now, the company rang the bell yet again with the new banner on their profile. The new banner states, “Dawn of the Final Day,”, with a black background. So, it is a no-brainer that our first love has reached the dawn of its final day.
If there is one game that has become the flag bearer of competitive gaming, aka esports, in the world, it is none other than CS: GO. This game became so influential that it made up many players’ lives and careers. Yes, there were games before, like CS 1.6, or games after, like Overwatch, League of Legends, PUBG, and Valorant, which are some of the most influential titles in the competitive realm, but no other game had this much impact as Global Offensive did.
When is the release of the new flag-bearer?
Previously, on September 20, the same group asked its followers what they were doing next Wednesday. So, this clearly serves as a hint that on the said Wednesday, i.e., September 27, we might see the all-new CS2 game surface for everyone.

The game right now is in the closed beta phase, so there is no confirmation so far if the game will get a full release or an open beta release. Although the Duty Maps are already active in the game, there is a ranked system with global leaderboards as well. However, the full release of the game seems to be far from reality.

In a recent video by ESL, many CS: GO pros were asked about what the new CS2 feels like. And many of them admitted that the game is not ready for a competitive scenario yet and is riddled with many issues.
