While these frequent updates to the game keep things fresh and help the game maintain its relevance, many players believe that the path CoD has taken is not the right one. This includes American Streamer, YouTuber, and Co-owner of FaZe clan gaming organization, Nickmercs. According to him, customization features only make the game unnecessarily complicated.

“In my opinion on this whole game, they are going in a direction where it’s overcomplicated, and it doesn’t need to be,” said Nick. He recounts how he missed the days when the players didn’t necessarily need to add any attachments to their guns and could simply use the gun as it was.
Nick gave examples of other popular FPS games that never needed such complected customization features. He said, “All of the best shooters in the history of gaming, for the most part, didn’t have any customization like that. Look at Halo or Gears of War.”
How did the fans react to the YouTuber’s claim?
These takes of his had mixed reactions from the fans. While many fans agreed with his takes, others aggressively criticized his statements, going as far as questioning his basic IQ.
Hese right, the tuning part is completely unneeded, has way too many guns and way too many attachments.

Bro, tuning is the reason why so many guns are viable in MW2. There will always be a meta but you can tune damn near every gun to be viable.

100% It seemed to me a while ago certain game creators are making things unnecessarily complicated, creating extra steps to do simple things. Micro steps all over, in the long run, add up to more time players spend in a game and making excuses for it. Frustrating to hell
