Starfield is arguably the biggest release of the year 2023. Considering the efforts Microsoft has made along with Bethesda for the branding of the forthcoming giant, the expectations are sky-high. Fortunately, Starfield has stood up to its claims with every official update made by the developers. Now, it’s time for probably the biggest challenge for any game, early player reviews. 

Bethesda’s Sci-Fi giant has constantly been subjected to fascinating fan speculations. It has been compared with classic titles due to the visuals, narrative, open world, or sometimes the hype around. A lot of fans have found some striking similarities between Starfield with Skyrim. Well, a fan review leaves the fans intrigued after he claims the gameplay to be rather resembling Red Dead Redemption 2!

An anonymous gamer having early access to Bethesda’s open-world RPG has taken the internet by storm. During a discussion thread on Starfield, the latter made some shocking revelations about the game. While fans were looking forward to finding out the game’s similarities with Skyrim, the fan mentioned two other giants. Also, the anonymous player could not stop praising the immersive experience Starfield provides to the consumer. 

“I’m literally playing it right now and like I previously said, it’s more rdr2 than Skyrim. Very immersive life sim style, although you can pick a more adventurous path if you wish“, the player stated during the discussion. The user further went on to confirm a massive rumor surfacing around the game. He quoted, “The Twitter leak is correct- in the character creator you can pick “homesteader” and you’ll get a house and mortgage. The alien DNA you saw in the trailer means you can merge your DNA with aliens to gain additional abilities e.g. increased health and oxygen.”

The latter also mentioned another game he found Starfield similar to. According to the player, the game is similar to Baldur’s Gate 3 in the context of making friends and companions. The title also allows the players to romance their working companions and shape the narrative accordingly. 

This is not the first time players have compared Starfield with Baldur’s Gate 3. Even during the online discussion, there were plenty of comments that talked about the game’s resemblance with the Larian Studio giant. Although for the first time, we hear its comparison with Red Dead Redemption 2.
