The Horror community on Reddit has a post that speaks about how Alan Wake 2 does justice to the horror genre. In the post, the user stated “Alan Wake 2 is scary as sh*t.” They continued to say that they had not played a horror game in a while and praised the direction and atmosphere of the eerie game.

Although the player is only 6 hours into the game, they said, “There been moments where I’ve had to take some breaths before heading into something because I have no idea what this batshit game is going to give me.” The user also expressed their surprise at how no one has discussed the game on the horror subreddit.

The sequel to the 13-year-old game is now taking the gaming world by storm after receiving almost perfect ratings from critics. This has pushed the game to even become a contender for a Game of the Year nomination.

The game is absolutely frightening according to many players. It’s noted to be one of the scariest games to ever be made. While some issues from the original game like the controls have been revamped, players are happy about the way this installment turned out.

Even though one player is just a few hours into the game, they have become a fan of the graphics of Alan Wake 2 and claims that it’s better than most CGI in movies.

One user goes on to call the game to be like a paranormal True Detective game. The user also answered the question about playing the original in their statement. Further, the user added they didn’t enjoy the original game but is an absolute fan of the sequel.

SFX can make all the difference, no matter the genre. This user praised the game’s music.

One user was disappointed at the fact that the studio did not launch a physical copy of the game. In their comment, they mentioned how the 90$ price tag seems a little pricey while not being able to receive a physical copy of the game.
