Sony and Nintendo are dominating the gaming market with their interesting gaming consoles. Although the American company Microsoft is also trying to join the race with its Xbox. However, what gives the two Japanese giants the strength to dominate the market is their exclusive video game catalog.

There is a huge plethora of exclusive titles available on those two platforms. Further, last year was successful for them with the release of exclusives like God of War: Ragnarok and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. But on the other hand, the Xbox didn’t have such exclusives to serve the audience.

Although, Xbox impressed the audience with its Game Pass, but that is not enough to be at the same level as the Japanese behemoths. However, the Xbox CEO Phil Spencer recently revealed that it might no longer be the case, as 2023 is “going to be an exciting year” for them.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer hints at a successful 2023

In a recent interview with IGN, the Xbox CEO agreed that they didn’t have great games for their platforms in 2022 compared to their competitors. He claimed that Xbox needs to release excellent games steadily to keep their customers happy. So, Spencer took the blame on himself for not being able to fulfill this.

Spencer then mentioned the titles that would release this year. Xbox hosted a Developer Direct Showcase a few days ago, where they revealed the release dates of some much-awaited games. The 55-year-old CEO also talked about the ongoing hot topic of the American company trying to acquire Activision Blizzard, which he claimed to be a great “learning experience.”

Phil Spencer shared that there are lots of exciting things going to happen with his organization this year. “When I think about the rest of the work that we’re doing this year, it’s going to be an exciting year,” the Xbox CEO continued. “From a production standpoint, we’re coming out of all of the COVID at home, and I think we’ve got a better working rhythm as an industry and things that are going on, and I’m excited.”
