Amouranth addresses the issue of not getting appreciation despite hard work

In 2021, the media organization VICE released a documentary on Amouranth. The documentary is about the life of Amouranth behind the camera. From setting up streams to working on content daily, the documentary encompasses a near-view of her life.

Addressing the issue of being the recipient of hate, she cited how people underestimate her career. She said, “I feel like people underestimate just how much work goes into both streaming and running an OnlyFans empire. And on all the eight different platforms that I’m on, it takes a lot. Like, I think people assume you just get on a screen, look pretty, and then you collect a million dollars, and that’s not it at all.”

She continued, “You have to plan out photo shoots, you have to maintain your fitness for those photo shoots, you have to do things on stream that maybe you didn’t really want to do that day, but that’s what works on the stream. So you got to sit in a hot tub for 12 hours and get sore and have bad posture. You also have to deal with like the harassment and the comments. Like, most people don’t even realize how much harassment streamers get because the moderators delete it before most of the chat sees it.”

Summing up her thoughts, she presented the view that she has for streaming. “I joke around and say that streaming isn’t really, like, a glamorous entertainment job. It’s being insulted for a living,” she said.
