Microsoft’s documents revealed that The Elder Scrolls’ upcoming title will not have PS’s lineup. However, over time Bethesda improved its glitches. Since Skyrim launched on Xbox, PC, Switch and PS, players developed a special knack for this action-themed RPG. In fact, this game’s prequel The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was equally well received among fans. Xbox Boss Spencer previously said on this exclusivity- “With Elder Scrolls VI, it’s so far out–it’s hard to understand what platforms will even be at this point,”
Along with this, Spencer reminded fans that Bethesda almost lost its sleep over Starfield’s hectic launch. Therefore, Skyrim will surely take more time. However, since Microsoft’s document predicted 2026 as The Elder Scrolls VI’s timeline, some fans are relieved knowing at least this game will hit the market at some time. But PlayStation users? Well, the social media platforms greatly revealed the grudges of PS users. Now it looks like they are the true loser of this Sony vs. Microsoft rivalry.
PS fans are not all happy with Microsoft’s exclusivity on The Elder Scrolls VI
Now that PS’s lineup is erased for The Elder Scrolls VI, PlayStation users are almost burning with anger. Both Skyrim and Oblivion received so much love from PS users and now that this series’ upcoming game is rumored to miss Sony’s platform, there is so much disappointment among the players- “If that’s true, it’s a big shame.”
If that’s true, it’s a big shame. Skyrim and Oblivion are all-time favorites.
But I won’t starve for games to play. And Starfield hasn’t made me jealous yet – especially as I’m playing the Mass Effect remaster.— Justin Leeper だよ! (@JustinLeeper_yo) September 18, 2023
However, some people are still rooting for Microsoft as they think The Elder Scrolls VI will miss PS5 because of its destined launch of PS6-” and who knows, maybe it’s not coming to PS5 because it’s coming to PS6.” People also mentioned why PS players’ madness is not justified since they already have some best games as their platform exclusives.
It’s crazy how it felt like just a year ago we were talking about the “End of the Console Wars”.
It’s also funny to me how PlayStation players are going to riot over not getting Elder Scrolls or Starfield (case in point the review bombing that was reported), but then on the same…

Fans were visibly mad at Microsoft- “Shame they didn’t have the talent to create them though, they needed to snatch them off other platforms to be relevant.” This also brought some Xbox users onto the scene and saved Xbox from the audience’s wrath.

In a nutshell, this news divided Xbox and PS users debating on the title’s exclusivity. Now that Bethesda’s Todd Howard emailed Spencer disapproving of Xbox’s decision with COD titles on PS5, fans had some hints about Elder Scrolls VI’s Xbox exclusivity.

However, Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls VI will not make its appearance until 2026. So PS5 users do not worry as Insomniac Games is all geared up for the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. If not Elder Scrolls VI, the dual delight of protagonists in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will leave you hallucinating.
