Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, being the most influential YouTuber right now is not even a debate. He has been making videos giving away millions of dollars worth of prizes. All of the videos released by the ‘YouTube King’ have been a hit of their own.
However, there were many that did not reach the levels of the majority of his videos. Chandler Hallow, a member of MrBeast’s team, recently sat down on a podcast and opened up about such videos.

Chandler recently sat down with Banter Boys consisting of Sapnap, GeorgeNotFound, and Karl Jacobs. The group talked with Chandler about his start with MrBeast. Talking about the early MrBeast videos, Chandler and Jacobs revealed the limited number of staff they had earlier. Although now they have staff planning out things for them, earlier they were not as organized as today. And they came up with many bizarre ideas, some being ‘what can be thrown in a microwave’.
Sapnap then recalled an old video of MrBeast. The MrBeast team had attempted to stop a bullet with magnets in this video. Chandler reflected, “That was a very good video.” Jacobs seemed to agree with him on this point as well. Jacobs also mentioned the thumbnail, referring to it as a “banger.” The thumbnail was MrBeast holding a gun against a magnet wall, and Chris Tucker, another MrBeast friend, looking shocked.
GeorgeNotFound said the video idea, however awesome, would not be accepted today. While both members believed this video was a great concept, it has now been removed by the team from MrBeast’s channel.
The success of the MrBeast video and the controversy that followed
The video titled Can 20,000 Magnets Stop a Bullet Mid Air, was originally posted on July 28, 2018. It became MrBeast’s most popular video on his channel in just three days. However, this popular video also started creating controversies. Some people did not like the concept of the video and it was evident with the 25% dislike ratio of the video.

The video, however, resurfaced on YouTube again on June 31, 2019. But it was later found out to be uploaded on a channel posing to be MrBeast. The video has been removed ever since. And no, a bullet cannot be stopped with 20,000 magnets if you were ever wondering.
