Donaldson’s success is undeniably the consequence of his creativity and hard work. But it wasn’t just his effort that got the MrBeast channel to where it is now. Many individuals worked alongside him on the channel. And one of them is his boyhood friend Christopher “Chris” Tyson, whom MrBeast persuaded to take a risk in his career to help him establish the channel.

However, Jimmy Donaldson never gave up on his dream to establish a successful channel. The problem he had was convincing the people around him, especially Chris Tyson, who was with him since his channel’s early days.

MrBeast was once interviewed the YouTube podcasters Collin and Samir, where he shared many things related to his journey and YouTube. But there he also revealed the anxiety that the people working with him had. “I remember because like even Chris, it’s hard to get him to quit his job. All these people they’re like this is just a YouTube channel. What if we’re irrelevant in a year?” MrBeast said.

This is not something anyone would say to him now, but it was back when he only had a few million subscribers. So he used to take some of his important employees to a room, where he showcased his plans on a whiteboard. He used to tell them, “Here’s what everyone’s doing. Here’s what we will be doing. Okay, we’re going to make this money. I’m going to spend it all. I’m going to work, work, work.”

He even told his team that they would have 10 million subscribers by the end of the year. But everyone around him thought he was “dumb”. However, he did manage to convince people to stay, and within a couple of years, he performed his magic.
