Recently, the popular OTT platform Netflix has revealed the trailer for the real-life game show Squid Game: The Challenge, which is basically adapted from the famous TV series Squid Games. Seeing this trailer, one fan shared it on Twitter, asking Jimmy if he was involved in this game show.
The curiosity of that fan is absolutely legit. If there is one man who can pull off these kinds of complicated IRL game shows, then it has to be MrBeast. He already made his own version of the Squid Game adaptation game show two years ago. The video got so popular that it has reached over half a billion people on YouTube.
I’m not involved. Kind of funny because I learned so much from my filming of this and I probably could have helped them immensely (and would have done it for free haha)

In reply, it was Beast’s simple answer: “I’m not involved.” He found this rumor a bit funny because he thought that he could work it out with Netflix. He has learned so much while filming his own Squid Game, so it would have been an absolute delight if Jimmy guided Netflix on how to make a perfect IRL gameshow like Squid Games. He has also stated that he would have assisted Netflix in making this gameshow without charging a single penny.
Squid Game: The Challenge will feature 456 real people who will give it all for the precious prize money of a whopping $4.56 million. This has become the largest cash prize in television history. Netflix has confirmed the show will premiere on November 22, 2023. The show’s tagline reads: “Though the reality version of ‘Squid Game‘ isn’t a matter of life or death, there’s still a lot on the line.”
How MrBeast had himself set the tone
On the other hand, MrBeast’s Squid Game winner was awarded a prize worth $456,000. It cost him a freaking $3.5 million to make the Squid Games a reality. This 25-minute video was uploaded in November 2021. After being uploaded, this video got 100 million views in just four days on YouTube. This is the fastest any non-musical video could ever achieve 100 million views.
Beast’s Squid Game also featured popular games from the TV series, like the renowned Red Light, Green Light, the Dalgona Game, the marble game, tug-of-war, ddakji, the glass bridge challenge, and musical chairs.
