“It Never Goes Back Anywhere”- xQc Claims Starship Rocket Explosion Wasn’t a Big Financial Dent in Elon Musk’s Wealth

The world was stunned on April 20, 2023, when SpaceX’s Starship rocket burst mid-flight. The mid-air maneuver saw some complications which resulted in the fate of the rocket. Among the millions of spectators that tuned in to watch the event was the prominent Twitch streamer xQc, who shared his live response with the audience.

The former professional Overwatch player also shared his views on his Twitch chat’s comments on the explosion, making some bold statements.

xQc was viewing SpaceX’s Starship rocket flight live on Twitch with his viewers. During the landing segment, the rocket had to flip around and boost back towards the earth for a landing in the gulf. This maneuver was to be executed by the rocket by cutting off the boosters while flipping around.

The rocket performed a successful flip mid-air, but alas, multiple engines went out. This made it quickly lose altitude. Preventing further calamity, SpaceX took the decision to self-destruct the rocket mid-air. The streamer was quick to pick up this fact on stream when he pointed out the rocket was not stabilizing. He speculated the size of the rocket was responsible for this.

While reacting to the explosion, xQc read the comment in chat that caught his eye. The comment read, “Ah yes lovely waste of billions of dollars.” The streamer had some opposing views from the fan.

xQc gives his explanation on why Musk didn’t lose much personally

“They just hoard the money,” said the streamer, commenting on the immense wealth of rich people, presumably talking about Elon Musk. He said Musk and other rich people hold stocks and investments for themselves. Many CEOs of top companies take less cash as salaries to save themselves from taxes. They prefer to take stock options instead, which they can liquidate later when needed.

“It never goes back anywhere,” xQc said on the rich people stockpiling money, “It doesn’t exist.” The streamer argued that the money controlled by the wealthy is not frequently brought back into the cash flow.
