The God of War’s latest sequel wrapped around the events of Ragnarök, concluding the Norse mythos of the game. Fans gathered together at PAX East 2023 for the God of War retrospective panel to learn more about the development of this title and retrospect on the game. But the voice of Tyr, Ben Prendergast, gave fans an indication of the future of this PlayStation series.

And I’ll say this – it isn’t the last you’ve seen of Tyr, Prendergast said, according to Shark Games.

While being asked about the future of the God of War franchise, Prendergast jokingly said he can’t as he has signed an NDA. Prendergast said that he “knows a little, but doesn’t know much” about the next title. His comment has left fans speculating whether this tells about a future DLC for Tyr in the God of War series, or about the Amazon Prime Video series for the title.

God of War TV Series

It is about time this franchise receives a series of its own. Following the success of ‘Uncharted’ and ‘The Last of Us’, PlayStation Productions have joined hands with Amazon prime Video to bring this action-adventure game to life. A live-action series is in development by showrunner Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time) and writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (The Expanse).

The series will follow the story of the 2018 God of War reboot and focus mainly on Norse mythology. This will make the previous entries of the God of War series unusable for source material for the TV show, as Greek mythos inspired them.
