According to the Valorant site, Gekko the Angeleno leads a tight-knit crew of calamitous creatures.” However, fans have found the powers of this agent very similar to one from a hit Nintendo series. And a fan edit over this similarity has been going viral on Twitter.

The newest agent of Valorant has a group of creatures doing his bidding. Currently, Gekko owns three creatures that perform different types of attacks on the players. But a unique feature for Gekko is that he can retrieve his creatures to use them again. Gekko’s unique technique prompted a YouTuber to imagine him being a Pokemon trainer. This led to the epic fan-made trailer for Valorant x Pokemon.

In this trailer, we see Gekko in the role of Ash, going on the journey to becoming the best Pokemon trainer. Phoenix and Reyna also join Gekko as his worthy companions. The funny aspect of this trailer was Team Rocket. The YouTuber cast Jett, Chamber, and Yoru to be the bad guys in this trailer. Further in the trailer, Gekko’s usage of his creatures in Valorant matches is compared to Ash’s using his Pokemon to win.
