And the two marvelously put up a great chessboxing event, but Andrea felt it was more like a “hide and seek” match.

Andrea Botez is a chess streamer on Twitch. Frequently, she is seen playing chess along with her elder sibling, Alexandra Botez. The Botez sisters also cherish being a part of the organization OpTic Gaming. Moreover, Ludwig’s chessboxing event became the perfect fit for Andrea to show her skills, and certainly, the community got to know a hidden talent of hers.

Widely known to be one of the best, Andrea Botez got defeated by Dina Belenkaya, who also holds the title of World Grandmaster. However, the crowd was impressed by Andrea when the chess table was removed and the boxing gloves came into play.
The intense 30-minute matchup of wrist actions and muscle flexes ended with a checkmate defeat for Andrea and a victory for Dina. Moreover, this checkmate was also the first one of the event. To give the concluding words, Andrea said, “I tried to stall, but unfortunately. I thought this was a chessboxing match. It felt more like hide and seek. Dina, the better chess player won, congratulations.”

Andrea Botez teases a potential rematch with a no-chess-just-boxing format
More so, OpTic Gaming posted a snippet of Andrea’s post-match views. In the tweet, Andrea said that she wished there was more boxing. Moreover, she admitted to having taken boxing more seriously and admitted to being calm in between the switches.

As goes for her first boxing match, she put forward that she had been preparing for the past six weeks. Moreover, she exclaimed confidence about the fight but admitted that things could’ve gone better. When asked about a potential rematch, she said that she would totally go for a no-chess but just boxing format.
Hence, only time shall unveil the world gets to see a boxing match between Andrea and Dina. Nevertheless, the world was surely mesmerized to see the two chess players put on a spectacular show in their habitual yet new zones.
