In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer Games completely redesigned the movement. Operators have the ability to fire while sliding and right away after it, recharge tactical sprint while running, mantle more quickly, and extend tactical sprint. Additionally, slide canceling was back, but not exactly how the fans remembered it. Following a lot of backlash from the slide-cancel delay, the developers seem to have finally given a shot at fixing the issue. Here’s a glimpse of the difference between the features before and after the update.

Players could keep moving at their top pace after slipping when slide canceling first appeared. After doing a slide, it was feasible to keep sprinting after completing it successfully. The animation, however, no longer reset a tactical sprint in MW3, causing a small delay. While this latest update claims to address the issue, CoD fanatics are still not convinced with the salability of the movement.
Although the update went unnoticed by most of the gamers, some found this an intriguing sign considering this next big week of the beta run. The makers have constantly emphasized adapting to the player reviews to enhance the final experience of the much-awaited FPS classic. It is important to note that even with the update being implemented, fans seek common ground for the slide-cancel movement.
Fans are divided as they share their take on the update
The updated comparison shared by a user invited some interesting reactions from CoD fanatics. Here’s a look at some of the interesting responses.

Not all disagree with the update, some fans responded positively to the fixation as they look forward to more improvements in the movement.
It felt great last weekend, looks even better now.
Alternative to a delay would be like how XD does it, it requires a cooldown and each subsequent attempt reduces effectiveness.
