For the uninitiated, map voting allows the players to vote for the map they want to dive into ahead of an online match. The feature was originally introduced in 2007’s COD 4: Modern Warfare. It went on to appear in many successive titles. But the last time it was seen in the series was during 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. Since then, both Vanguard and MWII haven’t brought back this option.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, however, everything fans like about the franchise has returned. From iconic maps and modes to weapons and map voting. While announcing 2023’s brand new game, an official blog had already confirmed map voting in MW3, back in August.

Moreover, there’s also a selection of classic maps, based on the original Modern Warfare 2. Heading into the second Beta weekend, players can try out the likes of Favela, Rust, Estate, Skidrow, Popov Power Plant, and Highrise.

Not to mention the open-world Zombies mode, making its appearance in the 2nd Beta weekend. The mode will follow a PvE format and will require the players to go against massive hordes of the undead. The map of Urzikstan will act as the main setting for this mode. Interestingly, it will be the new Warzone map as well.
