The Call of Duty franchise is known for pleasing its fans with some of the most amazing, action-packed games. And with the upcoming installment, it seems like Activision will once again deliver a blockbuster in Modern Warfare III. However, what may really annoy some hardcore COD lovers is the lack of options when it comes to MWIII’s editions.

Yes, there are various digital versions to pre-order. However, no attractive, highly exclusive edition has been announced yet. Will 2023’s premium entry also follow its predecessor in keeping the fans devoid of a desirable Collector’s Edition?

It’s quite shocking to see there being no word from Activision on something like a Collector’s Edition. This is a physical version of a video game where players get a chance to buy a full-fledged collection. And it features many amazing goodies and luxurious items alongside the main disc of the game itself. However, this wasn’t the situation four years ago when 2019’s rebooted Call of Duty Modern Warfare was released.

Infinity Ward’s title had launched with an option for players to order a Dark Edition.  And apart from receiving a steel book, they were also able to get nice-looking night vision goggles with a display stand.

However, all the CODs that have come after 2019’s title have skipped a special edition featuring collectible items. The makers are already charging $70 (Standard Edition) and $100 (Vault Edition) for Modern Warfare III. Having the option of an extra version, despite costing a premium amount, would have really impressed the fans. Especially those who like to have an extensive collection of impressive items based on video games.

A Modern Warfare III Zombies Edition would have been a hit!

It’s already known that the upcoming game will also introduce Zombies in the Modern Warfare universe. The makers could have announced a special, physical edition featuring the undead. Undoubtedly, it would have been a very effective marketing strategy as well. However, there’s no such thing happening this year.
