When the recent Xbox Games Showcase dropped the trailer for Bethesda’s latest IP, Starfield, it caused an uproar among Xbox fans. This exclusive title was quick to mesmerize the fans who were loving the sci-fi take from Bethesda. The game still embodied the elements from earlier Bethesda titles while polishing them further. Some fans are already claiming this to be a Game of the Year contender.

However, similar things were also said for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. Afraid this Bethesda title might suffer the same fate as Cyberpunk, many fans have come together to share their opinions on this topic.

In a recent Reddit post, fans have started to wonder if will Starfield share the same fate as Cyberpunk 2077. User Xenophon_ started a discussion on Reddit speculating whether Starfield will be like Cyberpunk 2077 and is holding back on pre-ordering the title until the game is out. Cyberpunk was no doubt the most hyped game of 2020. The fans were excited to try out this most-anticipated title from CD Projekt too.

However, that title failed to meet the expectations of fans and was a technical disaster. The game performed poorly on platforms, with multiple fans rallying to ask for refunds. And after multiple fixes, the game is still not up to the mark it was envisioned to be by fans. Now the fans of the upcoming Bethesda title are worrying that the title would also walk the same path as Cyberpunk.

While this seems speculation seems highly unlikely as Bethesda has a history of making AAA games with utmost precision. But skeptical fans are still giving into this thought and are refraining from pre-ordering the title.

Fans are in a state of confusion on whether to buy the Bethesda title or not

Reddit users are collectively thinking of ways to try Bethesda without having to own it. User ITCHYisSylar suggested, “Get an Xbox game pass for a month. And try it out that way. If good, buy it. If crappy, avoid it.”
