Is Paimon the Rumored Unknown God? Recently Released Voiceline About Adorable the Genshin Impact Mascot Back Up the Fans’ Theories

Genshin Impact has one of the most mysterious storylines among the current RPG games. The crux of the narrative itself is filled with suspense.

Like who was the powerful entity that attacked the traveler and his sibling, mysteries surrounding each archon, and more. Among all these mysteries, one that has been echoed the most is about Traveler’s beloved companion.

Paimon has been the mascot of the Genshin Impact since its inception. Paimon is one of the fan-favorite characters in the game. But, there are a lot of speculations about the travel buddy’s origin.

Genshin Impact – Paimon’s Origin

There are lots of theories surrounding who Paimon actually is. Among the is the recent hint about the mascot’s origin. In a throwaway scene in Genshin, Paimon’s words somewhat revealed what the mysterious entity’s origin is.

According to Doro44, a Genshin content maker, a recent voice line of Paimon about her dream reveals hints towards the entity’s origin. That is, she sees a dream where a chef makes her into a smoothie.

“Because slimes are monsters, even though they look cute, they usually cause trouble and end up getting killed by adventurers.” states Paimon in that video. Though the statement seems harmless, Doro44 thinks it has more depth.

The dream can be a manifestation of Paimon’s true identity. According to him, the mascot is more than what meets the eye. That is, she could potentially be a monster disguised as a harmless creature.

This is not the first speculation to arise about Paimon being a disguised monster. There were speculations about orienting the mascot that suggested that she was actually the magical figure that separated the traveler from their sibling.

Moreover, there were also theories that suggested Paimon would be the final boss in the game.

For now, it is unclear whether all these speculations and rumors are true. But, it would be interesting to see some twists and turns like this in the Genshin Narrative.
