GTA: San Andreas isn’t all about satire, comedy, and punchlines, and it has some of the most fun characters in gaming history. And some of these characters’ dialogues are written pretty well, making them super funny. Officer Tenpenny is one such character. But is he the funniest character in GTA history?

Voiced by none other than the iconic actor from Pulp Fiction himself, Samuel L. Jackson, Tenpenny has a good share of humorous moments in the game. His character, jokes, and, of course, personality stand above the rest of the GTA characters.

He will be always remembered as one of the iconic villains of all time. Officer Tenpenny is an amusing character with some really great jokes. He knows perfectly how to irritate CJ and crack the perfect joke at the perfect time. He perfectly knows that CJ and his (Tenpenny) partner have to obey him and he can easily manipulate them the way he deems fit.

In every mission (from start to end), Officer Tenpenny was like bad news for CJ. The officer is mostly sarcastic to everyone around him and tries to bully everyone for his own benefit. He uses his position to make everything hard for CJ.

Is Tenpenny from GTA San Andreas the funniest character in all of GTA?

In San Andreas, officer Tenpenny’s best line from the title is, “We can s**t on you from such a height, you’ll think God himself has crapped on you.”

Unlike other characters, Tenpenny is a very serious character. Funny, but also serious. Samuel L Jackson is just perfect for the role, and it’s an impressive performance throughout from Jackson. The line delivery style is just as brilliant as it sounds.

The majority of the community on Reddit also loved this character. According to the majority of players, Officer Tenpenny is the funniest GTA San Andres character in the whole GTA series.

Niko Bellic from GTA IV is also pretty funny, some people feel. His dark past, his running away from it, gives his character an extra depth. This is why when he does or says something funny, there’s an element of contrast at play.
