Is Fortnite Chapter 4’s Guardian Shield overpowered?

While epic games just keep on introducing new ideas to Fortnite, it is not always straightforward to get your hands on them. But once you get them, a pool of things is available for you to do.

For example, if you manage to open those Oathbound Chests and get yourself one of those shockwave hammers, you can easily spend the whole game just hopping like a bunny. Or if your whole team gets these hammers, you can even make a vehicle fly.

Similar is the case with the new augmentations, some augmentations such as chug cannon and jellyfish angler give players the ability to just get themselves enough backup health supplies to even survive in the storm.

This has allowed players to stretch the game way longer than it is supposed to last.

Finally, coming to today’s main culprit, the Guardian Shield. This hard-to-get shield is a unique item indeed. You can pick it up and carry it with you and no bullet will hurt you when it is open. You can place it on the ground and it would protect your whole team.

The best part is you can shoot your enemies from inside the shield. And when it is depleted, you just throw it down, and it recharges. We do not know how one can break the game with it, but it is overpowered indeed.

How to get your hands on Guardian Shield

The guardian shield can only be found on one of those Oathbound Chests. For those who do not recognize them, they are those huge white and silver-looking things.

If you go on a hunt for an Oathbound chest, just go and look around those areas of the map that look like they are going through autumn.

You can easily spot this area because it’s like dessert on the map, just jump there and start looking. These chests might be selective about their spawn location, but they are not very hard to spot from afar.
