A trailer for GTA 6 is just days away! Despite the fact that the gaming world has waited for the sixth installment of the Grand Theft Auto series for longer than a decade, an official trailer just around the corner is ‘too much’ to sink in for a lot of fans. The hype around the ‘most expensive entertainment product of all time’ just keeps on peaking each day and understandably so. Such has been the legacy of Rockstar Games and the GTA brand. But GTA 6 is something more than just an addition to the league, and the first female protagonist in the series after the original GTA testifies to the exclusivity. 

The Grand Theft Auto label has been one of the most celebrated action-packed experiences that have been offered to gaming tables to date. There are a lot of factors that make it stand out among all the games with a similar approach. The rumors and speculations around GTA 6 have certainly left the fans invested in witnessing the arrival of the female protagonist. While the leaks have kept ‘Lucia’ the female playable protagonist under community scrutiny, fans came across a decade-old prediction made by a Rockstar veteran. Apparently, it was about time the GTA world was offered its first female playable lead in a long while.

Lucia’s character in GTA 6 is the answer to Dan Houser’s ‘ideal theme’. 

There’s no denying the fact that when it comes to the treatment of character arcs and stories, Rockstar Games knows how to ace the task. The sequel to Red Dead Redemption and how it took the franchise to a whole new level is a living example of the developers’ bankability on sequels. During the last big release under the GTA label, there were some ongoing debates around a possible female protagonist in the future of the series. In a decade-old interview with Dan Houser, the co-writer of GTA V had already hinted at the vision of the developers. 

On the query of a playable female lead in the action-packed wild fest, the creator had a promising response. “In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course. We just haven’t found the right game for it yet, but it’s one of the things that we always think about. It didn’t feel natural for this game but definitely for the right game in the future – with the right themes, it could be fantastic. But for GTA V, this was the organic thing that came up, these were the characters that would display the themes we wanted to think about,” Dan Houser stated. 

Everything to know about Lucia 

It’s GTA 6, so the hype is obvious, but what about Lucia? Lucia is so special that gaming fans cannot get enough of the alleged female lead. Most of the buzz is attributed to the leaks that claim Lucia to be an in-depth, written character with some strong arc in the narrative of the gameplay. If the rumors are to be trusted, Lucia will be the smart techie of the gang, and her relationship with Jason will be inspired by the elements of Bonnie and Clyde.

According to the rumors, Lucia is a Latin American-born Hispanic woman in her late 20s or early 30s who stands at approximately 5’3″. She is now dating Jason. Interesting background information about Lucia includes her past jail time and her escape to Vice City before the game’s events. Some credible industry scoops also suggested the female lead could have a baby in the game’s story. 

It is important to note that nothing has been confirmed by the developers about the characters yet, but the trailer is just days away, and we’ll be getting all the answers soon.
