Activision has brought tons of changes to the Call of Duty franchise in recent years. Especially to the gameplay experience itself. Despite being known as the first-person shooter IP, it witnessed a shocking transformation last year. And that was due to the introduction of a 3rd person perspective for Modern Warfare II. Among the few things players have liked about this entry, this feature is undoubtedly on the top.

There are only two months left for the next major installment. And a lot of players are eager to get their hands on the next title. However, one player is also curious about the possible inclusion of 3rd person perspective in MWIII.

A 3rd person option may return to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and here’s why

Ever since it was rolled out in Modern Warfare II, the feature has mostly impressed the community. And the reason for that is they can see their favorite Operators in all their glory. Considering that there are plenty of cosmetics and skins available in the game, having a 3rd person option allows the players to view their modified characters while enjoying online matches in Multiplayer or Warzone battle royale.

This is something that was missing with titles prior to last year’s game. However, now that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is fast approaching its debut, fans are hoping for 3rd person functionality to return.

On Reddit, an individual echoed this sentiment for the upcoming title. They believe that the feature is amazing to have in MWII and should carry forward in the next premium offering as well.

Currently, there’s no dedicated 3rd person playlist available in MWII. However, players can experience it in some matches when they are lucky. It will be interesting to see if Activision will implement this function in the new COD or not.

Sledgehammer Games’ project will offer tons of surprises. To begin with, it will be the first Modern Warfare installment to have a Zombies mode. An open-world format, combined with PvE and extraction-based elements, is what players will get in this experience. Then, there’s also the nostalgia factor.

16 remastered maps from 2009’s iconic Modern Warfare 2 are coming to Modern Warfare III. Those who have grown up adoring the golden days of Call of Duty will be able to dive into their favorite, classic maps once again.

Furthermore, Modern Warfare II users who want to continue using their purchased cosmetics in the future are in for a treat. Thanks to the introduction of Carry Forward feature, they will get to utilize most of their items switching to MWIII.

Given the fact that there’s so much to look forward to, the addition of 3rd person will surely be an icing on the cake for players. It all depends, however, on the makers and developers if they want to bring it back.
