The Beta phase run for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently live for pre-order on next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X\S. Moreover, the developers have treated their fans with a beta test launch for PC gamers as well. However, the last-gen console owners are feeling a bit left out, but should they? Well, the forthcoming FPS giant has surprises for all the CoD fans owning PlayStation irrespective of its generation.

The first big step to the global launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been initiated with the release of its beta run. Currently, the beta phase is dominating all the gaming trends in the industry. Also, gaming fans are already convinced of the potential of the next big chapter in the FPS franchise with just the initial exposure to the beta run. Have you failed to upgrade your PS console generation yet? No worries because there’s something for the PlayStation 4 owners as well. 

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available for pre-order beta run for both gen consoles

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s (MW3) Open Beta will be made available today, October 6, at various times for various time zones. Players must first buy it from the PlayStation Store (PS5 and PS4) in order to receive a top-notch experience. The market offers the Standard Edition for $69.99 and the Vault Edition for $99.99.

The Beta is now available to PlayStation 5 and PS4 owners that have the game pre-loaded. In the following session, beginning on October 8, any PlayStation player can enter the Open Beta, which will finish on October 10, 2023, regardless of their pre-load status.

It is important to note that the PlayStation players will be the first fortunate club to access the open beta. The second weekend is scheduled from October 12 to October 16 for all other platforms. 

What’s exciting about the Beta run?

Besides being the exciting introduction to what the next big Activision pitch has to offer the CoD fans, the beta run independently has a lot of thrilling features to offer its players. The beta run includes 5 popular maps: Favela, Estate, Rust, Skidrow and Highrise.

During the first weekend, players will be able to go up to as high as level 20 and continuing the run might take players to level 30 as well. The testing phase would also open cross-play during the second scheduled week. It is important to note that only PlayStation owners will be able to continue their progress from open beta weekend to the next big weekend. Also, like all previous beta runs, the current progress wouldn’t be carried along in the full game.
