With each new State of Play, players have been curious to witness an exclusive footage from this console exclusive. It shows how much passionate every PlayStation user is for the sequel to its beloved predecessor from 2018. Fans are so pumped that even before the release of Spider-Man 2, there’s already speculation about the third game!

A major leak has recently hit social media. And it might leave all the Spider-Man 2 fans spellbound, to say the least. While Insomniac Games has stated they will be shifting their attention to Wolverine, it is not out of the question that they will eventually return to the Spider-Man franchise. And a leaker with a credible history has made a bold claim about the same.

Scooper claims Spider-Man 3, on PS6, will wrap up Insomniac’s iconic trilogy

The Industry Baby, an individual on X (formerly Twitter), has earned quite a reputation with their recent track record. Especially when it comes to sharing crucial details on the upcoming PS5 exclusive itself. Since the last three years, this user has come out with predictions that have ended up being legitimate. The user previously made predictions with respect to the release date, map size, and MJ’s new look, among other things.

Recently, the insider shared a post to drop a major leaked intel (according to them). The Industry Baby has claimed that there will be a third game in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise for PlayStation.

Moreover, it also reveals that the third and final entry in the trilogy will be a PS6 exclusive.

Assuming the leak pans out, fans can expect the Spider-Man 3 by 2028. However, this is just a rumour for now and one should take it with a grain of salt unless there comes a substantial proof.

What to expect from Spider-Man 2?

It’s already known that the game is arriving next month on October 20. And fans already know about the villains, including Venom, Kraven and Lizard. Yuri will return as Wraith. And Miles will get to confront Martin Li, who was responsible for his father’s death in the first game.

However, before its anticipated arrival, many fans are hoping to get another gameplay footage reveal in a State of Play event. The latter is taking place on September 14, 2023. Although Sony’s execs have confirmed that indie titles and third-party games will be the priority during this event, Spider-Man fans are still hopeful for a surprise.

Many players believe that Spider-Man 2 may receive a brand new trailer or some kind of fresh footage towards the end of State of Play. It will be interesting to see, however, if their wish is fulfilled or not eventually.
