Insomniac Clears the Air Over an Anticipated Spider-Man Sequel in 2023 for the PlayStation 5

It’s been four years since the original Marvel’s Spider-Man was released by Insomniac for the PlayStation 4. However, due to the exponential success of the title, it was recently released for the PC platform as well, so that all the gamers could experience this gem. But those who have already finished it on the console, are more curious for the next chapter in the now-iconic franchise.

Now, there’s a good news for all the players craving for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5. They won’t have to keep waiting endlessly before the eventual debut of the sequel. Developer Insomniac has just confirmed that the game is coming soon!

Insomniac assures Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fans that it will launch in 2023 for PlayStation 5

There’s a solid reason for why the upcoming sequel is carrying so much hype over its release. The first part that arrived in 2018 has swayed millions of players worldwide. So much so, that Marvel’s Spider-Man has become Sony’s golden IP, bringing in huge profit. Along with a 2020 spin-off, titled Miles Morales, the game has sold over 33 million copies so far across the globe.

Now that’s probably the biggest reason why the craze for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is on an all time high. Players are expecting it be on the same level as its predecessor in terms of offering amazing gameplay mechanics and features. And since it will be coming on the PlayStation 5, harnessing its power, the game is likely to be awesome to say the least.

But some users on social media became worried thinking about the release of the anticipated sequel. One user specifically mentioned that they think the game will get delayed and won’t come out next year.

To their surprise, however, developer Insomniac came out with a direct reply. The official account of the studio told them that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 5 will definitely launch in next year. And that the fans don’t need to get worried anymore. There won’t be a delay for the game whatsoever.

“We’re making good progress and it’s still slated for 2023,” wrote Insomniac while replying to the fan. With this tweet, the studio has basically reiterated that the sequel will be coming out next year.

This is a good indication for the awaited PS5 title. Now that the developer has cleared the air over the future of the game, Spider-Man lovers can take a breath of relief without thinking too much.
