Target restocks PlayStation 5 consoles

There’s no surprise the PS5 has been hard to come by with the semiconductor shortage in the industry. The lack of availability of the material has affected the production, thereby hindering the sales of the consoles. However, both the PlayStation 5 Disc and Digital have done exceptionally well in the market.

According to Randall, Target stores all over the United States have received “10-30+ PS5 each”. And the first of the two rollouts could be scheduled for this week, that is today (Thursday 30 December, 2021) or tomorrow (Friday 31 December, 2021).

In addition to this week’s restock, Sony has plans to sell out more consoles only for the Target stores. 2022 will bring a lot of joy to interested customers as well. As per Randall’s Twitter thread, “EVERY region” in “THE WHOLE COUNTRY” will have stores with “100 units” of the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition. The first week of the year will see Target stores receive “50-100+” units.

Irrespective of this week’s rollout, Target stores will drop the latest batch of consoles in the coming week. And to peak the fans’ interest even further, the 2022 drop is “MUCH likelier”.

The rollout could take place on any day of the week. But Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (5-7 January 2022) are the ones to keep an eye out for. Target tends to have early morning drops, so 6 AM to 9 AM ET are primetime, with 7 AM to 8 AM being the most likely period.

As per usual, the sale will be online with in-store pickup. And if Randall’s previous speculations prove anything, Target definitely has something big planned. So do not miss out on the rollout and comment down below what you think of the restock.
