Nintendo is, perhaps, witnessing its best time compared to any previous year. Almost everything done in 2022 is bringing great results. Firstly, the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus turned into a massive celebration among the fans. Then Kirby and the Forgotten Land also swayed the Switch console players. And now, Nintendo Switch Sports is here to do something similar.
Simply put, Nintendo has another blockbuster in the making with the latest offering Switch Sports for its popular handheld console. The new release opened huge few days back in the UK region and ended up in the first spot. Now fresh speculation and early estimation by a famous YouTuber reveal that the game has a massive potential to become one of the best-selling Nintendo titles of all time.

The latest entry is a simulation-based video game in the Wii Sports franchise. Set in the fictional multi-sport facility called Spocco Square, it offers three sports from previous installments. While tennis and bowling are from Wii Sports, the swordplay (chambara) is from Wii Sports Resort. Three new sports have been added as well this time, and they are soccer, volleyball, and badminton.
In Nintendo Switch Sports, players use the Joy-Con to play the various sports by positioning themselves accordingly. The Joy-Con’s embedded gyroscope functionality enables the simulation of in-game motion.
Nintendo Switch Sports made an unexpectedly solid debut last week, despite getting mixed to average reviews from the critics. In terms of sales, it’s doing pretty well at the moment. Going by the early analysis of Zach, from the channel SwitchForce, then Switch Sports has the potential to sell a large number of copies in its entire lifetime.
In one of his recent videos, Zach mentioned that he recently conducted a poll in which he asked the fans to vote for how much they thought the game will sell overall. And around fifteen percent of them believed that it has the chance of going over 20 million units worldwide.
Zach also stated that this result is very much possible considering the factors like Black Friday sales in which there are heavy discounts available. Hence, such scenarios may help Switch Sports eventually sell more than what it expected to sell before the launch.
