Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has offered some really interesting maps since its anticipated release last year. Similar to previous entries, most of the Multiplayer locations featured in this title have impressed the players looking for engaging FPS experience.
There’s no doubt about the fact that Infinity Ward has, time and again, introduced classic maps in the Modern Warfare sub-series. The studio has done that again with MWII. Every fan of COD loves Multiplayer and there are some modes which are always in the focus of the gamers. To name a few, Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Search & Destroy are three modes that never cease to entertain them. That’s because they are usually featured as core MP modes for nearly every new installment that comes out each year. It looks like these modes are also the reason behind Infinity Ward’s approach of designing maps in the franchise.
Media outlet CharlieIntel recently revealed a key intel related to Call of Duty maps and their making at Infinity Ward. While dropping a tweet, the news website mentioned that the devs always keep their focus on three modes while working on a map. These modes are Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, and Domination.
Yes, these three modes remain on the devs’ priority list during their process of map designing. Unsurprisingly, there’s a very clear reason behind this approach. “We use TDM, S&D, and Dom as kind of the scaffolding. And the other ones, we kind of do the best we can to fit them in. There’s a lot of different game modes that fit in there, but as long as we hit those three, those are the big three that engage the most. We kind of make do with the others”, read the tweet mentioning the developers’ response.
