Sony made a last-minute decision and didn’t announce God of War Ragnarok release date in June
Ever since it was first announced, the sequel has kept the hardcore lovers of God of War on the edge when it comes to the revelation of much-needed updates. There’s been a slow response from the developer’s side in terms of offering new content based on the upcoming title. They are really taking their time to come up with a piece of fresh news or anything related to the launch date itself.

Speaking of the launch specifically, recently an industry insider shared crucial information regarding God of War Ragnarok’s debut. Jason Schreier, who’s a reporter at Bloomberg, dropped a major update on the Resetera forum.
Going by the reporter’s words, Sony did have a plan of announcing the release date for the PlayStation exclusive on June 30. Not only that, but they were about to offer the information on pre-order as well. Unfortunately, the plan was dropped and canceled a week ago. Here’s what Jason Schreier wrote on Resetera about God of War Ragnarok:
“After talking with more folks yesterday, I can definitively say that there was a release date/pre-order announcement planned for yesterday. It was bumped at some point last week. I don’t know why.”

However, the one positive thing about the reporter’s reveal is that he did confirm the release window for the game. It’s on track to come out in 2022 itself, most probably in November. “People working on it say it’s huge and seem to be pretty excited about it. Reminds me of the buzz I was hearing before the 2018 one,” he further added.
God of War Ragnarok will launch for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
What do you have to say on the latest update of the awaited sequel? Are you upset after knowing that Sony canceled an expected announcement for the title last month?
