While the hype is still on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Tom tries to divert the attention towards Star Wars Outlaws. This might be due to the mechanics being more impressive than expected. Spider-Man 2 introduced a new style of fast travel, where players can select where they want to go on the map and Spidey will instantly be seen flying into the frame at the given location. This feature is more impressive considering the scale of the Spider-Man map and how fast the game loads the assets.

Although Star Wars Outlaws is a heavy game, it is expected to accomplish the same. From what Tom said, we can speculate that fast travel might have a more universal application. It could extend beyond covering just one city. With nothing known about the upcoming Star Wars game, it is known that Jedi Survivor had a fast-travel feature. Although this feature received some criticism, players can only travel from one discovered meditation point to another. Tom has hopes for the next game in line.
