The story for Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty complex; anyone who has played it knows this much. The game talks about a lot of things, with self-preservation being one of the core themes. Most of the time players spend in this game, they find themselves going around finding a cure for something that is slowly killing the main character, V.

And at the end of the game, no matter what they do or what choices they make, V dies. And that’s why Phantom Liberty brings up a big question from those who have completed the game originally: where exactly does the DLC start from? It’s pretty obvious that it does not start where the original game ends.

It’s good to hear that CD Projekt Red has actually thought of it in much detail before even working on it, because the DLC seemingly starts when the game is around 50%. Another question that fans have is: would they be able to save V through the means of this DLC? There’s no clear answer to this question as of yet, as the developers are still trying to preserve that ending for players who have yet to experience the original title.

Even without the DLC, Night City is about to change profoundly!

It has been talked about a number of times that update 2.0 of Cyberpunk 2.0 is going to change this game from head to toe. With new combat mechanics, new perks, entirely remapped skill trees, and a completely revamped wanted mechanic, the game is changing for the better.

And that’s why, even if someone is not interested in the upcoming DLC, they should at least install the game once and see if they prefer the new and changed Night City or not!
