Pokemon Legends Arceus early review and impressions
According to Laura, she enjoyed playing the game a lot for the said duration of 40 hours. In her words, which she mentioned in a Twitter thread, she’s “in awe of this game.”
Twitch partner Laura further mentioned that Pokemon Legends Arceus is very ambitious, despite not being flawless.
“At its core, PLA feels Pokémon, made in the breath of the wild engine, stripped back to focus on the ‘Gotta Catch em All’ tagline, with a dose of beginners first monster hunter excursion and hunt structure, and a robust sidequest system to build up an evolving hub town,” she says.
In terms of gameplay, Laura described Pokemon Legends Arceus to have a basic setup of picking up missions and then heading to the big areas to finish them.
Catching in Pokemon Legends Arceus can be done in two ways: overworld captures and the traditional battles.

For players, when they start the game, 10 tasks will be enough to register as a finished entry. But the tasks are specific to the species. They might involve a certain number of times a Pokemon fought, captured, or used a move with them. On the other hand, some tasks are worthy of gaining double points toward Dex entry registration.
Laura also wrote that although the gameplay is engaging and satisfying, it will be divisive for some. Personally, the title was great for her own experience.
As for the completion time, the gamer revealed that in her gameplay session, she didn’t finish Pokemon Legends Arceus totally. So for her, the main quest took around 50 hours. Adding further, she mentioned that for each zone, it will take roughly 10 hours to finish the quests.
