Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast is currently the biggest name on YouTube. He currently has over 143 million subscribers, which is increasing at an astonishing rate, every single day. Many believe if Jimmy keeps rising at the current rate, he will soon be able to topple the massive corporate channels of the platform.  Moreover, MrBeast is often considered “the most unproblamatic” content creator. Despite his massive wealth and significance, he is never seen flexing or looking down on people. Instead in many instances, it has been revealed that the YouTuber never truly cares about money and power.

The 24-year-old is so unbothered by his accolades that when YouTube sent him his 100,000,000 subscriber appreciation package, containing the custom 100 Million Play Button and letter, Jimmy forgot to even read it. Once with YouTube income specialist, Graham Stephen, Jimmy opened up on why he never bothered to open the letter and give it a glance.

YouTube has a tradition where it rewards all the creators who manage to hit a certain goal. For every milestone: 100k, 1 million, 10 million, 100 million; YouTube sends a play button to the creator. The 100 million being the biggest award, comes with a custom play button (not anymore) and a personalized letter to the creator, written by the current CEO of YouTube. 

When MrBeast hit his 100 mil milestone, Susan Wojcicki was still the CEO of YouTube. She wrote the letter for Jimmy and sent it alongside his play button, but he never read it. “I will be 100% honest, I never even read it. I didn’t realize it was customized for every person,” said MrBeast.

“I think it was just copy print to everyone” said MrBeast. For a long time Jimmy had the misconception that the 100 million letters were actually copy-printed to everyone, but finding that it is actually custom written for each creator made Jimmy interested in it, “someone remind me to read this letter” said Jimmy.

Though T-Series and Cocomelon have an advantage over Jimmy in terms of numbers, with the rate of growth that he has, it seems likely that MrBeast will soon be the biggest channel on the platform.
