This year, almost every platform would get at least one milestone title. For PlayStation 5, that title would be Spider-Man 2, for Xbox series consoles it would be Starfield and for Nintendo Switch it would be The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This third-person action-adventure game was announced by Nintendo around three years ago with a short teaser. Back then, they called it “a sequel to the Breath of the Wild”. It made everyone curious when the developer and publisher refused to call it the Breath of the Wild 2.

Later the name was revealed as Tears of the Kingdom, and fans are not surprised that this isn’t just the previous game with 2 added to it as Nintendo hardly does numbered sequels.
Whatever the reason might be, the sequel now has a name, and the sequel now has a launch date. And fans as usual are excited. They’re most excited to see what Nintendo has added to that already vibrant and deep world.
While fans were already hyped about this game, Nintendo decided to start teasing their fans with a countdown which they send out in a Tweet with a text saying “100 days to go” with a poster of Tears of the kingdom.
This little tweet has really hyped fans up
While this tweet does not say much, it has already added to the excitement of already hyped fans. While some mention that they cannot wait to play this game, others ask for a better look at this game before its launch.

I hope this game is slightly more traditional, story-wise, and maybe weapons could last longer than 4 swings

Wait can you delay it a bit more so I can finish Breath of the Wild!? 🥲

Can't wait, pre-ordered back in October, when the shops made it available. Still have side quests and other bits left to do in BOTW, should tide me over for the next 100 days.

I love that there hasn’t been much marketing for this game, makes me hopeful and curious about what it’s about etc. I hate when games “spoil” to much before the games release
