One thing every content creator playing Valorant complains about is stream sniping. Almost all major streamers have fallen prey to stream snipers. This practice is heavily looked down upon in the community, with many streamers like Tarik actively speaking out against it.

However, recently Sentinels content creator Tarik once again fell prey to stream snipers. On the opposing team’s side was content creator Matthew ‘Wardell’ Yu who is a former TSM Valorant pro player. This has led to a drama between the two former pros, with each taking opposite ends. And this whole drama began with Tarik playing with neT.

During his latest stream with a former member of The Guard neT, Tarik had an unfortunate encounter with a stream sniper. His teammates instantly recognized the stream sniper kittymeowmeow, with neT wondering, “How is this kittymeowmeow not banned yet?

On the other hand, former TSM pro player Wardell was present in the team with kittymeowmeow. Fans heard the stream sniper stating, “They have Tarik on their team, hold on,” on Wardell’s stream. However, the former pro player did nothing to prevent stream sniping from his teammate.

Furthermore, clips of Wardell acting upon callouts made by kittymeowmeow about Tarik’s and his teammate’s location have started to emerge. This has caused a heated debate online as Tarik messaged Wardell during the match. Tarik asked whether or not kittymeowmeow was stream sniping and whether or not he was partying up with the stream sniper.

Wardell denies collaborating with stream sniper

To both these questions, Wardell replied with a “na” in chat. However, multiple netizens have started to post clips of Wardell hearing the callouts from kittymeowmeow and even joining a Discord call with the stream sniper.

This has led many fans to accuse Wardell of lying in a Valorant match. After the match, however, the Sova on Wardell’s team typed to Tarik’s team about watching Wardell’s stream for proof of stream sniping. This led to a response from Tarik, who said, “I just don’t understand what I’m witnessing right now. I’m speechless, but I’m not going to let myself get mad.”
