Imane “Pokimane” Anys went on a month-long hiatus a few months ago. Although she eventually returned to streaming later, many changes were there. For example, she no longer streams regularly like she once did. The streamer also claimed that this job was no longer creatively fulfilling for her.

Pokimane started streaming as a hobby when she was 17 years old. But later down the line, she transitioned to this career full-time. After that, there was no stopping her, and she went on to become the most-followed Twitch streamers. But after being so successful in this career, Poki hit a point where streaming was no longer the same.

Pokimane explains the difference between streaming and regular jobs

Everyone in their career reaches a point when their job doesn’t feel fulfilling like it once did. It gets tough for anyone to give their 100 percent. But still many people manage to get the job even in such circumstances. But this scenario changes when the aspect of creativity enters the field.

Pokimane explained, “I cannot stream while being like sad as s*it. I’m not an actress. So, there’s an aspect to that when there’s a creative component that like you have to be there emotionally, mentally, creatively otherwise like whatever you make is not as good.”

Imane also shared that when she had a regular part-time job as a 17-year-old, she could do that job even when it was no longer fulfilling. But she can’t do the same in streaming and hence she made multiple changes to her content after a month-long hiatus.

When Poki met an obsessed fan

Even though streaming is no longer fulfilling for the Twitch streamer, she continues being a streamer because of the love she receives from her fans. But some fans get too obsessive sometimes, as a fan once claimed to have watched Pokimane’s stream for over 600 hours.
