One of the most iconic Valorant pros of Twitch, Michael Grzesiek aka Shroud, announced his brand new co-ownership of an award-winning PC-building company. The initial announcement of the partnership was made public back on November 18, 2022. In a recent tweet from the official account of the company, Shroud made his role clear. 

The PC building company, MainGear has been in the business for almost 20 years. In their long years in the industry, they have acquired quite a significant reputation in the market. Now, to gain the perspective of the new generations and its trends, the company has decided to share ownership with Michael and appoint him as an advisor and ambassador.

Shroud is the new co-owner of MainGear 

Back in November 2022, MainGear completed its rebranding. They had launched a new series of PCs, named the MG-1:Shroud Edition. This line of high-spec desktop PCs featured Grzesiek’s motifs and name. It was announced with an official tweet from the company’s account, featuring a theatrical teaser with Shroud.

On January 21, 2023, the official Twitter account of MainGear posted a tweet with a clip of Micheal’s stream and with the caption, “Shroud becomes the new co-owner of MAINGEAR computers.” In the clip, Shroud stated he just learned about MainGear only 6 years ago where the company has been around for 20 years.

Shroud made it clear that this is not like any other sponsorship that just comes and goes, as according to him “I’m (Shroud) Invested in Them They (MainGear) Are Invested in Me”. Currently, his goal is to promote the company through his streams and influence. And Michael believes that a great future is waiting for them.   

According to Forbes Michael has been contributing to the business strategies such as component selection, marketing initiatives, community building, as well as retail and eCommerce experiences for the company. Looking at the portfolio of the streamer and his expertise, Shroud truly seems like a great choice for the role.

“I’m blessed to be at the point in my career as a creator where I’m able to be very selective about who I work with and in what capacity,” Shroud said to Forbes that he is truly grateful for his position in this career that he can choose the brands he wants to work with and for him, MainGear has been a perfect choice.
