Although the debut of Discord on the Xbox was already announced a few months ago, it was not released publicly. But now it’s out for all the Xbox owners and they can start using it.
Discord makes a bold move while merging with Xbox, leaving PlayStation owners wondering
After the newly released integration, PC players will be able to chat with the Xbox console owners using Discord. Plus, they can also see their gaming activity. Until now, the feature was only available to select individuals as it was going through the testing phase under the Insider Program since July.
Xbox Update: 100% of you should now be able to voice chat from your @Xbox console!
If you are unable to do so, you probably do not own an Xbox. https://t.co/aqKbJLfcZ2

In order to join, players will need to have their phones with them to set up their accounts. After linking their Xbox account to Discord, they can transfer the call from the service onto the console. And yes, the mobile app is also needed for this entire procedure. To receive Discord calls properly on the device, these steps are necessary:
- Connecting the Xbox account to Discord via ‘Connections’ in User Settings.
- Going to the Voice Channel in Discord and selecting ‘transfer audio’.
- Confirming the prompt in the Xbox mobile app to transfer the audio.
While the Xbox fans might be feeling happy right now, the same cannot be said for those having the PlayStation. As soon as Discord shared the massive news regarding its availability on Microsoft‘s consoles, the PS owners began expressing their disappointment. Most of them were not enthusiastic about the rollout of the popular service on the rival platform.
