While players had to reach the end of the game to confront Venom, the way things played out left many fans dissatisfied, with many believing that the game rushed through Venom’s story. Fans wanted more build-up and development of Venom’s animosity towards Peter Parker, potentially through a chase scene or pre-Anti-Venom fight. In the trailers, players got to see a cinematic chase that left them in awe, only to see the same not being implemented in the game.
