The Nintendo Switch exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is barely a week away from launch. To celebrate this game’s impending launch, some manufacturers have revealed some accessories based on this upcoming game.
Even Nintendo launched a whole special edition Nintendo Switch designed after this game. But it appears one of the fans did not really find that design much appealing. To remedy this, they decided to take matters into their own hands in a unique way!

A Reddit user by the name of u/retrovise seems to have decided that none of the special edition hardware launched by Nintendo is worth their time. Hence, they decided to design themselves a pair of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-themed Joy-Cons.
These Joy-Cons feature a black and red theme with golden accents. And they feature none other than Link’s arch-nemesis Ganondorf in his full glory. These Joy-Cons look really attractive, but this does not mean Nintendo has any shortage of such hardware. They have released a number of special edition consoles and accessories. A while ago, when Skyword Sword was released for Nintendo Switch, a special pair of Joy-Cons themed after that game was launched for fans.
That was followed by a Pokemon special edition as well as Splatoon 3 special edition consoles. The most attractive of them all is the recently launched Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition Nintendo Switch OLED console.
But it seems like u/retrovise was looking for something different altogether, hence these Joy-Cons were born. No matter what, these sure look pretty attractive. Those red shoulder and face buttons and that golden Triforce logo really give them a menacing look.
Fans are in love with this Joy-Cons and are pleading for it
When u/retrovise shared their design on Reddit, their Joy-Cons were met with a very positive response from fellow Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans. Many of them were in awe of the sheer effort put into designing those controllers, while others simply offered to buy those controllers from the designer.
