Sadly, that hasn’t been the case as confirmed by MrBeast’s girlfriend Thea Booysen in a recent tweet.
Earlier, a lot of popular streamers had openly criticized Twitch for the new content policies. The list of creators speaking against Twitch had names like Ninja, Ludwig, xQc, and even MrBeast. Jimmy also tweeted against Twitch calling the new rules a problem for aspiring creators.

Thea Booysen shared expressed her disappointment with a tweet on the misguided promotion of the creator policies. Calling out the platform she wrote, “This weekend, I received my first $10 Hype Chat donation on @Twitch. I was pretty excited at first, but according to my stats I only received $5.80 of the donation. I thought this was supposed to be a 70/30 split???”

Twitch had assured the creators a definite split of 70-30 through the introduction of the Partner Plus Program. According to the upgraded policies, streamers in the Partner Plus program will receive a 70/30 revenue share on net subscription revenue. This includes the revenue from monthly subscriptions and gift subscriptions. The announcement received mixed reactions as fans called it a tactical move. MrBeast also pointed out the flaw in the policy calling it unjustified for smaller aspiring creators. He felt the eligibility criteria to use enjoy the 70 percent share is poor for small aspiring creators.

Now, with the latest tweet, Twitch has again made the headlines for the wrong reasons. The platform has already suffered large losses after giant names like MrBeast and xQc decided to move on from the platform. An unsatisfactory tweet from MrBeast’s girlfriend might not be a good sign for the Amazon-owned company. There is a lot at stake for Twitch now as it might be getting too late to redeem its declining popularity among the community.
