Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has kept the FPS fever running high. Despite a rocky start, the latest Activision multiplayer project has appealed to a lot of shooting games enthusiasts. Fans have banked on MW3 to grow into a better game with every patch note. Instead, the game seems to have taken a huge step backwards as players can’t even open it.

From poor beta run reviews to backlash on the newly introduced armory unlock system, MW3 has had a shaky start. However, among all the interesting headlines CoD has made lately, the latest event might have just topped the list. Call of Duty servers witnessed a global shutdown all across the world, leaving everyone confused.

Call of Duty server errors reported all around the globe

In the most recent internet trend, netizens came across constant reports of FPS fanatics facing a server error in CoD: Modern Warfare 3. Apparently, the error was common for most of the active players trying to access the game. You have been disconnected from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 servers. Please try again,” the popup error read. 

While players initially thought the error to be for a particular region when reports started trending on social media, it was noted that the issue was global. 

According to the reports, around 81% of active players complained about the server issue, whereas 15% of the players reported issues with the login page, and 3% faced hindrance during the gameplay. Turns out the game was facing a major server blackout all across the world. Although no official communication has been made to address the issue faced by the players at the time of writing. This lack of communication invited a lot of heat from the CoD fans worldwide. 

During the early minutes of the server error, a lot of fans unable to figure out the issue were left confused as they tried to deduce the source of the issue. However, only after an outrage brought the issue under scrutiny, players realized the error wasn’t their fault.

Zombies debuted in the Modern Warfare series in MW3, so naturally, fans were thrilled. However, a player expressed their disappointment as the issue came in the way of the player engaging in zombies mode.

A player hilariously shares how they thought they had been banned from the game initially. For context, there have been constant complaints by CoD players for allegedly facing unfair shadow bans. 

Another user joined the rant and talked about the confusion that arose after the server error kept popping up. 

When the price for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was revealed, there was a lot of concern with many believing $70 was too much for what they believed to be a DLC. Now a player is furious about having paid $70 for a “game with no servers.”
