Many people know Dr Disrespect as a popular streaming personality. Meanwhile, one lesser-known fact is that he has established his own game development studio, Midnight Society. The studio, Midnight Society, is currently working on a vertical extraction shooter called Deadrop. The vertical extraction shooter has been gaining popularity as the streamer often promotes it on his streams., however, a recent glimpse from the creator himself has left fans perplexed.
During the recent stream, Dr Disrespect showcased gameplay for the latest Snapshot 7 added to Deadrop, leaving fans astounded. Dr Disrespect’s reputation for surprising his audience only amplified the impact of this unveiling.

During the stream, a teaser for what appears to be a separate racing mode for Deadrop has been released. The teaser video lasts for 30 seconds and showcases cars racing down dimly lit streets while occasionally engaging in combat, suggesting vehicular combat gameplay akin to titles like Twisted Metal.
Earlier today Dr Disrespect revealed gameplay for snapshot 7 of his upcoming free to play first person vertical extraction shooter game DEADROP.

Initially, people assumed that the racing mode was a completely separate project due to its distinct genre and the presence of its exclusive Midnight Ride logo. The accompanying tweet includes a Deadrop hashtag and labels it as Snapshot VII. This is usually how Midnight Society presents its Deadrop gameplay previews.
It is speculated that the racing mode is likely a part of Deadrop, as it would be quite challenging for a relatively new studio like Midnight Society to handle two different projects simultaneously. Midnight Society has not officially clarified what Midnight Ride is, but it is teasing a full reveal on October 20. The full reveal is expected to provide more details and clarity on the racing mode.
If the racing mode and Deadrop are indeed the same game, it would represent an ambitious fusion of a vertical extraction shooter and vehicular combat, potentially setting Deadrop apart from its competitors. More than learning about Snapshot 7, this reveal only made them confused. It is still not revealed if the Snapshot 7 will be a part of Deadrop or will launch as an individual game.
Confusion surrounds Dr Disrespect fans
The unveil confused many players. What many thought to be a purely FPS game, now is showcasing racing elements. While this must have been the plan of the doctor from the start, fans are left confused.
