The legendary Mario veteran Charles Martinet opens up about his role in voicing the iconic Mario. Mario franchise is one of the oldest and renowned gaming series in the world. Ever since the world witnessed the first-ever Mario game way back in 1983, this gaming series has entertained many generations and seems like will continue to entertain more to come.

Recently, the legendary Charles Martinet shared that he dreams of all Mario’s actions in 2D. Speaking about Mario in 2D, it means the good old days when these iconic action-packed games used to be in 2 dimensions. It’s not a surprising piece of news for the fans. Because Charles is from that era only and he has voiced Mario in over 150 games. No doubt this is a piece of joyful news for all the Mario fans out there.

If I wake up in the morning and I’m having a lousy day, I’m like {Wario growl}. These voices are just alive in me, along with {sings the Super Mario Bros start jingle} {Mario} Go! So, there’s not a lot of preparation [for Nintendo].”

In fact, the voice actor has also expressed his desire to play this role as long as he can. These words clearly reflect Charles’s passion for this role and its impact on his life.
