While Bethesda’s Starfield has taken maximum spotlights of the year, people are yet to get over Avalanche Software‘s blockbuster release this year, Hogwarts Legacy. Within days of release, this RPG stole fans’ hearts by giving a glimpse of Hogwarts without Harry Potter characters. Now that the internet is flooded with Bethesda’s Xbox exclusive, fans are not ready to cancel Hogwarts Legacy’s potential to win the title of GOTY 2023. 

None can deny the requests fans poured over for a DLC after Hogwarts Legacy hit the market. This game also ruled the YTD list of the top twenty best-selling games for months after its release. Certainly, fans had a great time with this adventure-themed role-playing game. Now it looks like the craze isn’t going dull anytime soon. 

Hogwarts Legacy left a mark on fans’ hearts

Despite facing criticisms on its release, Hogwarts Legacy made a straight way to the fans’ hearts with amazing gameplay and exclusive spells. Potterheads were stunned to experience Hogwarts’ universe without the main characters of the Harry Potter Universe. Now a fan recently shared on his Twitter that Hogwarts Legacy is still the best release of the year- “Hogwarts Legacy is still one of the greatest things to happen in gaming this year.” Now this fan hinted about how he thinks Hogwarts Legacy is one of the true titles in the deserving list of GOTY 2023.

This year, Bethesda’s big-budgeted production Starfield made its official release on Xbox and PC Game Pass. Although its early access brought many astounding positive responses, people are still convinced that Avalanche’s RPG is better than Bethesda’s RPG.

Since Starfield and Hogwarts Legacy both are RPGs, people are easily marking them as two contenders for GOTY this year. Despite the debate, both the games have offered out-of-the-world gaming experiences for people. 

Fans raise their hands in support of the fan’s remark on Hogwarts Legacy

A fan’s remark on Hogwarts Legacy being the greatest development of the year has received many thumbs-ups from fans. People supported Hogwarts legacy’s deserving nomination for GOTY 2023- “Big facts. Just did another play through and it was just as fun as the first play through. I low key hope it wins GoTY tbh.”

However, some people shared their support for both the titles.

The majority believed that it was definitely a good work by Avalanche Software. 

Fans were spotted eagerly waiting for the game’s sequel to release- “Hopefull the sequel will have additional improvement and more quests.” There were sincere requests for DLCs of this title. 

Published by Warner Bros. Studio, Hogwarts Legacy was released officially in February for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox X/S Series. Additionally, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users received their access in May 2023. Following the tremendous success, Hogwarts Legacy will be available on Switch from the 14th of November.
