KSI is what many consider the comic pioneer on YouTube because of his absurdly dark but hilarious jokes. Although he was mostly criticized for that, even by his parents, fans who followed him for years know how much he has learned over the past few years. But despite him being a shy child, he has a serious complaint about his father “beating” him to make him understand the weird ways of life.

KSI, one of the biggest names in the world of online entertainment, recently released a documentary on Amazon Prime titled “KSI: In Real Life”. The documentary offers an intimate look at the life of the YouTube sensation, from his early days as a gamer to his rise as a music artist and influencer. One of the most moving moments in the documentary comes when KSI confronts his father after almost 10 years of estrangement, opening up about the emotional toll that his father’s beatings had on him as a child.
In the clip, JJ tells his father, “Well, it affected me in my later years, dad.” His voice is one of pain and hurt, as he reflects on the impact his father’s actions had on him. He goes on to say, “Just like it affected you.” The honesty and vulnerability in his words are striking, as he shares with his father the emotional scars that have lingered for years.
