Something big for the system in 2023. The interview was entirely in Japanese. However, using Google Translate, we could successfully make the statements decipherable. According to Hideaki, the upcoming year of 2023 will be “Very Important” for PlayStation.
“I can’t talk about specifics at this time,” Hideaki Nishino said, “but I hope you will look forward to next year.” As said by the vice president, the specifics of what is so “important” can’t be shared right now. How that has not stopped fans from speculating that the massive games set to release in 2023 could be a big part of it.
Next year, some of the biggest franchises in the world, such as resident Evil and Final Fantasy, are going to be released on PS5. So it won’t be too farfetched to believe the vice president was talking about these big releases after the new year. But at this point in time, there is nothing conclusive.
