A while ago, Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Interactive gave fans a glimpse of Hogwarts Legacy. In the showcase, video gamers got a look at the detailed representation of Hogwarts that they would get to explore. Character customization options were showcased along with an explanation of how side quests would play into classes that players choose.

And most importantly, they also gave us a glimpse at how combat works in Hogwarts Legacy. The Developers of Hogwarts Legacy are giving players over 20 usable spells.

Numerous spells a button press away!

Out of those spells, players can slot or activate around 20 of them. Now, it is a big number, given how the combat works in the game itself.

Coming to how you use those spells, you get access to four spells you have slotted with a single button. By the looks of it, the gameplay looks like that of a brawler with magic instead of punches and kicks.

The Showcase that took place a couple of days ago has a lot of fans very riled up! Many of them are hoping that they get to use some classic spells in the game!

You have enemies that block your attacks and attacks that can break an enemy’s defense. All this means that it’s a very thought-out combat system with many layers to it, the kind of combat that a game based on the Harry Potter Universe deserves.

Hogwarts Legacy has a lot more to offer

Avalanche Software also gave us a look at how every area of Hogwarts has its own theme. You can choose houses, you can select a class, and can level up your class expertise by doing class-specific side-quests. Speaking of side quests, the world is full of NPCs that can give you different side quests. Going by all this, it’s pretty clear that this game has a lot going for it.

Hogwarts Legacy is currently in development at Avalanche software. Before this, Avalanche Software worked on numerous licensed titles based on various Disney IPs. They are also the Developers of the Toys to Life series Disney Infinity, which was pretty successful and fun in its own way.
